Where to look depends on what type of glass you are looking for. If you have a "general" glass, you probably will not find it anywhere -- The Pickvet books list over 4,000 glasses (which really is not that many), and if your specific glass is not there, he includes a "general" price guide.
If you have a glass that falls into one of the "specialy" areas, there may be a book that has a price for it. There are special guides for triple crown glasses, for "pattern glass" and "elegant glass" and maybe a few more. The most surprising glasses that I have not found in a specialty book are the Coca-Cola holiday glasses.
