jim beam baseball shotglass

I'm not a shotglass collector, but recently acquired a James B Beam, MVP, baseball shaped shotglass in a box of glassware auctioned from an old inn. I'm curious about its history and of course value if any. Can anyone tell me where to research that info. thanks
