i agree with mark that pickvets definition of a shotglass is very limited- federal makes mini-mugs with handles and calls them shotglasses, tons of collectors collect hard rock shooters that are most definately shotglasses to tons of people(how many hrc shooters have been sold-as well as from harley cafes, etc.),also planet hollywood shooters-tapered style( tons out there),
shotglasses shaped as candle glasses-made by numerous liquior companies are also shotglasses, footed glasses are collected by many -but are usually for liquiers not whiskey companies, and also tons add tequila shots to there collections-not in pickvets books-but meet the criteria, canadians produce numerous mugs with handles and shooters with handles-for shotglasses-they are not by definition-but many of us collect them.i think a much broader classification should be made as to what is a shotglass//but pickvet and guiness go by the pretty standard style
