Need Help to find origin of old pewter shot glass

I found this shot glass sealed in a wall in a very old building in Washington D.C. along with a few othere items, like they were put in there as a time capsel. Im guessing that it is pewter because it is a very soft metal and can be marked with your finger nail. It looks like it came straight out of the 1800's and the Old West. It says "pick your shot" on the front of it and the rest of it is covered in a squirly pattern. There are no stamps of any maker inside or out of any kind. If anybody knows how I can find out any information about this shot glass please let me know.
