Silver Rim Shot Glass Trying to Determine Age

I recently found a wonderful set of what I was told were vintage shot glasses from possibly the 60s at an estate sale. There are no makers marks but on the silver rim there is an etched checkerboard pattern in the silver. Is anyone familiar with these?
