The older, thin-sided glasses can be very valuable -- http://pre-pro.com/ is a great resource for them.
Glasses made out of copper or silver are valuable just for the material they are made of.
Glasses that are plain (have no added design) are not very collectable, even if they are old.
Older glasses that are made of crystal or fall into the category of "Pattern Glass" (pressed patterns, usually part of a larger set) are of interest to the lager glass collecting community, and are usually more valuable.
: i inherited a couple boxes of old shot glass,some 1800s,,i have a silver cup like the one val kilmer used pat,1878,,,every shot glass imaginable,,i have no idea how to value these and i do want to sell them,any help would b aprecciated
